2022 Community Happenings!

  • Free “Sunday Night Music” series is not at night. 11:00 am-2 pm in the Fort George courtyard depending on weather.

Goodbye Winter! Hello Spring!

  • Let the spring cleaning begin!

  • Always make sure to clean out your dryer filters & vents, lint is extremely flammable!

  • Check Air/Furnace filters monthly, vacuum or replace. Prevent fire hazards & help your system run more efficiently.

  • Lift with knees when moving furniture or heavy items.

  • Ventilate: To reduce exposure to toxic cleaning chemicals and moisture in your home.

  • Be sure to check those Smoke/Carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries as needed.

  • Make sure porches, Walkways and sidewalks are clear of leaves and debris.

  • Continue to watch out for deer on the city and neighboring streets, especially at dusk when they feed.

  • Be sure to keep your furnace, wall heaters and/or water heater clear of clutter. Full access is a must to prevent hazards.

  • Empty the garage/storage space of common fire starters like old newspapers, boxes, etc.

A quick note from the FDA -please DON’T flush medicine down the toilet. Instead follow the instructions below:

  • Empty any medicine into a re-sealable bag. Add dish soap and a little water to pills/capsules to help them dissolve.

  • A scoop of kitty litter, coffee grounds or dirt will absorb liquids. Throw in Trash.

  • Free Medsafe disposal box at CMH Outpatient Pharmacy in Astoria or CMH Seaside Community Pharmacy.

  • Lets keep our oceans, lakes & drinking water clean and free of contaminants.

  • Keep landscaping maintained for appeal & to keep pests down!

  • Renter’s insurance is required per lease agreement. Please make sure you are up to date! Any questions can be directed towards Port Town PM by phone or email.
